OISR Journal
The Institute publishes The Journal of Ohara Institute of Social Research, a monthly research journal. As of February 2019, which marked the 100th year anniversary of the institute, we have published 724 issues altogether.
The inaugural issue of the current journal dates back to March Issue of 1953, as it was initially titled The Resources Room Newsletter Issue No.1（published 20 February 1953).
The Newsletter had since January Issue of 1980 (No. 262) been co-edited by the Research Center for Social and Labor Issues and the Ohara Institute for Social Research, and re-titled as The Monthly Research Resources Newsletter.
The Monthly Newsletter has since April Issue of 1986 (Issue No. 359) been re-titled again as The Journal of Ohara Institute for Social Research.

The Ohara Institute for Social Research was established in 1919 and merged with Hosei University in 1949. But prior to the merger, the Institute had published the Journal of Ohara Institute for Social Research from 1923 to 1936.
